PRESIDENT URHO KALEVA KEKKONEN Team Karhu Member who actually was more famous after his sports career was President Urho Kaleva Kekkonen (1900 - 1986). He was a High Jump champion of Finland in 1926 and had close relationship with Karhu also during his political career. Presindent Kekkonen was central figure in the Finnish political scene from the 1930s, prime minister (1950-3, 1954-6) and President of Finland from 1956 to 1982, 26 years! Kekkonen was an active sportsman for his whole life and used Karhu´s equipment also in his other favorite sport, cross country skiing. When it comes to shoes, he specially liked the Olymipic Trainers with blue the M-sign.
